A mesmerizing telescoped whorl of waves that attempts to induce a sensation of unease in viewers.
The video is silent and plays on a loop, drawing the viewer in visually. “Sick” is a surfer term I borrowed to describe the awe of a surging wave, impressive and disquieting. Staring at the work up close up may induce a sensation of unease in viewers prone to motion sickness. I am equating motion sickness with the physical illness of Earth. A fast moving image can be nauseating to look at and a sick earth is nauseating to think about.
