ThisThing algorithm 3A: DMDigitalShiftRegister
input z - selects preset clock divisions 1-8
input x = clock
input y = CV in
---
output a = CV delayed by 1 unit of clock division
output b = CV delayed by 2 units of clock division
---
LEDs display chosen preset
---
Video Notes
Simple 16 step sequence feeds input y and is also sent to VCO 1,
This is the first pattern you hear.
Outputs a & b are sent to VCOs 2 & 3 and these are the next things heard, panned L & R.
There are two manual actions - the asynchronous LFO fed to z input is activated and deactivated with the level knob
on the Quad LFO. When the level is zero the clock division remains constant, when it is raised the clock division is modulated.
The source melody VCO is briefly muted at the mixer, effectively soloing the two outputs of the shift register.
---
Note - the same clock and CV could feed multiple instances of this algorithm. I will make a video with two as soon as my fourth VCO arrives.
