Dress rehearsal of The Infant King Nativity as performed by members and volunteers of The Oyster Project in the VizAbility space part funded by Awards For All funding and own fundraising. All props, scenery, costumes, lighting, effects, sound track and video created by cast and crew. We chose this story because it was the most familiar to our members, they all knew it or parts of it. We also wanted something we could make a spoken track for mixed with music. It was a completely secular project but dealt with a known and moving story that members, family and friends can recognise. In this way taking part does not depend on being able to remember lines or even to speak, it really is totally accessible to performers, crew and audience. We are happy to make the video and the sound track available to other groups and it can be downloaded from Vimeo by all.
Performed December 2015.
