Preview of "The Star Who Almost Wasn't There." This is a reading of our first children's book by the author. The story was written in 1965 as a Christmas Gift for the authors first niece. As the author completed the manuscript that was to be the gift, she planned to dedicate it to her niece. . ."For Stacey Ruth Hahn." But in the moment she was inspired to add: "and all little children everywhere."
47 years later the book was published as a way to generate some revenue to help fund the start up of a nonprofit for adults with developmental disabilities. Now it is offered by StarGift Project Inc. a 501(c)(3) organization that seeks to be a source of inspiring faith in youth and their families through the creative arts. We create new engaging materials for children in the hopes of inspiring faith and we engage donors to help provide these materials to the children as a way of spreading the faith. We think of this as planting tiny mustard seeds. To learn more visit the web site at stargiftproject.org and follow us on Facebook as StarGift Project Inc.
