FutureEverything Singapore 10 - 18 October 2015
The Chronarium is a public sleep lab offering restorative sleep in smart sleep pods as an antidote to always-on city living.
Loop.pH’s new installation The Chronarium, which debuted at The Cathay from 10 – 15th October, uses technology to improve one of the most important parts of our daily lives, sleep. As our public and private spaces become more technologically mediated, it’s often hard to switch off when everything is always on. However, sometimes the answer isn’t always leaving technology behind, but finding new ways to make it work better for you.
For 9 days in October 2015, the FutureEverything festival took over the popular imagination, public space across the city, daytime TV, and the political debate in Singapore. The festival enjoyed public, media and critical acclaim across Asia Pacific for its innovation lab challenge, talking lamp posts and public sleep lab in Singapore’s first festival of art and technology.
