Building Secure RESTful Web Services

Building Secure RESTful Web Services

TechGig

REST (or REpresentational State Transfer) is a means of expressing specific entities in a system by standardized URI schemes. REST is not an architecture or a specification but it is a style to build web services. REST is protocol agnostic but when used with HTTP it has security issues that mostly all applications running on HTTP has.

Moreover it becomes challenging when we say Web Services are stateless and can be accessed from any type of device. Usual challenges are authenticating the user via token based authentication. When you expose these services to public internet they become vulnerable to security attacks like Man in the Middle and Replay Attacks.

In this webinar I will cover how to address these concerns. You will learn about how to go about creating you own security mechanism for your set of RESTful web services.
