60 million people worldwide are displaced against their will. Many end up in camps and stay there on average for 12 years according to the UNHCR.
Most countries only allow temporary settlements hence no fixed buildings. That's why millions of displaced people have to survive in tents and without access to adequate schools or medical wards.
The best way to give displaced people in camps a new beginning is providing them access to adequate shelter, education and health.
In order to tackle this we needed a new approach and a new concept. International shelter experts of leading organisations, civil engineers, architects, researchers and many professionals joined us in the quest for a low-cost innovative solution.
