Territory of fiction or scene of a reality, Origen is presented as a photographic project which hopes to show a personal experience lived in absolute methodological and creative freedom. Origen aims to raise the curiosity of the spectator, to create a personal imaginary where emotions and lived feelings are portrayed in the work of the three authors. It wants to erode the modern and contemporary layer which protects us from our most primitive, natural and animal instincts.
The game takes place in mid-winter in a cove in Costa Brava, accessible only on foot. Origen is the pretext that the authors use to imitate the environment/surroundings of an imaginary island, get away from the antropomorphic landscape and rediscover the most primitive instincts. With this exercise, they want to capture the worldly/lived experience when fighting isolation, uncertainty and weather harshness. How these factors influence the psyche and, consequently, the perceptive and creative capacity.
Origen transforms and gathers the author’s view in a book, creating an atmosphere where nature and instincts invade the comfort zone, reencountering feelings and lost landscapes in an unconscious group.
