Considerations for Expressive Simulation

When designing games that aim to convey a particular experience for the player, deciding what details to represent and simulate is a key challenge. This talk will explore the constraints surrounding fidelity in games and will offer a practical approach for how to tackle this in your own design and development, drawing from my experience with the Dear Leader prototype, a simulation game where you manage a post-revolutionary republic as its despotic leader.
