On Christmas Eve, a little girl is woken up by a noise. Thinking it’s Saint Nicholas leaving her presents, she walks through the darkness of the living room, only to find that something has taken over her house. Now, she must try to escape before this evil presence gets her.
Growing up in the eighties and nineties, we were raised by the movies that made the horror genre what it is today. Cult creature films such as The Thing, The Gate, Alien saga, Pumpkinhead, among others, shaped the way we think of monsters today. These are movies that truly capture genuinely creepy and dangerous situations that seem to be missing in modern horror. Paying tribute to the movies that fascinated us growing up, we combined Latin American myths of witches who transform into birds and the Icelandic legend of Gryla, a mythical ogress who stomps down from the mountains to hunt down naughty children and feast on their flesh. We hope horror film fans like us enjoy this little story as much as we do!
Happy Holidays! And beware of monsters!
