Set in the isolated landscapes of rural Huddersfield, ‘Like Joe, Loathe Joe’ is the story of two families falling apart simultaneously. From the viewpoint of Luke, a teenage son in one of these families, we see the reactions of a boy troubled by a situation he suddenly finds himself in. Exploring the themes of family dysfunction, friendship and blame, the film seeks to reveal the fragile nature of relationships and the fine line that exists between love, hate and compassion.
