Remember we said the centerpiece of Christianity is the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It's the lens through which we consider what we think of God and how we construct a worldview. It's the reality that affects how we live, work, and play. If the resurrection is true, then we must rethink everything in light of it.
One of the first places we begin is with Jesus. Who is He? Many people believe He was a good teacher, a good person whose life we should emulate. But if He is resurrected, then, as Peter proclaimed, that makes him both Lord and Messiah. He has authority and the power to back it up. Jesus is not merely someone I add to my "board of directors"-He's the CEO.
"Lord" and "Messiah"-these are titles we've grown used to. Today, let's rethink what they really mean and how that changes the way we live.
