A science fiction comedy about Joe, a factory worker who is about to lose his job because of the cheaper, more efficient labor of the robot workforce. But when things go horribly wrong Joe is the only one left to stop the killer robots from completely taking over the factory.
This was my thesis film at College. It is heavily inspired by Futurama, cheesy science fiction, and various cartoons.
Joe vs. the Killer Robots was produced using Panasonic HVX 200 cameras at a resolution of 1080 x 720p, and edited using Final Cut Pro. The special effects were produced using Photoshop CS2, Motion, After Effects, and cardboard.
The budget was approx. $1,500 (CAN).
