This TowerTalk is an exploration of the theme of repentance throughout art history. Although the Romantic notion of the artists as rule breaker is still dominant, a less noticed, but far more pervasive theme, is artists who turned to traditional religion, and gave a record of that conversion in their artwork. Artists illustrating this phenomenon will be four from the Renaissance, and four from modern times.
