I have always taken pictures. However as I increasingly concentrated on my work as a filmmaker my shooting lapsed. In 2011 I got an iphone with a good camera and a couple of days later an early instagram adapter introduced me to his feed. I was hooked. I did a lot of street photography, photos of my kids, and when I moved to North Carolina - the meadow behind my house. The meadow and my kids play a big role in a film about mind body medicine that I have been working on so I recently put together an art show that included photos from the meadow and this long film comprised solely of my instagram feed. I was only able to download a 2.5 years of my feed - or about 6000 images. I put them on a timeline for 2 seconds each. It became a slow motion time lapse of my life. My kids and the meadow become characters that grow and change.
