This webinar provides an introduction to and overview of key databases, tools and
methods to support multimodal transportation planning and sustainable community
design. EPA and Renaissance share work they have done together in developing the
Smart Location Database (SLD), from which EPA has developed various applications to
support sustainable land use planning and facility siting. Renaissance then discuss
various ways in which they are using the SLD and related accessibility-based methods in
state and regional planning and project selection applications. This is an
applications oriented presentation, emphasizing examples over theory.
