"Merrily taking twopenny ale and cheese with a pocket knife; / But these were luxuries not for him who went for the Simple Life.” - G. K. Chesterton
I found a pocket knife with a rattlesnake engraved on the handle. It seemed to be a good idea and omen to use what you fears and fascinates as a tool, and companion on a long voyage - literally and figuratively.
Safe if not at least adventurous travels to the recipient! May cheese, apples, dog leashes, bandages, and clothes lines, and tight spots be fashioned better, and perhaps initials in Douglas Fir trees.
Thanks to Mary at Custom Laser Engraving for taking the time to allow me to watch the laser beams meet the stainless steel.
