“The inner way” narrates the life choice of Dario Doshin Girolami that brought him to develop a deep understanding of the human being, and understanding that triggered in him the wish to teach to other people the practice of inner - knowing in order to ameliorate people’s life condition.

Dario is a Zen Buddhist monk, he teaches meditation and has been able to break trough even in the Roman prison of Rebibbia, where several “guests”, with long sentences too, - skeptical at first – started to appreciate this discipline more and more, to the point of not wanting to give it up. Meditation, in facts , helps the inmates to face, with the right serenity, their convicted condition.

The docu-film aims at introducing Dario Doshin Girolami figure and the meditation that he teaches in the Rebibbia prison trough the testimony of the inmates/practitioners.

Images, words, sounds and silences will accompany Dario’s narration, his questions to the inmates, their answers, and their accounts of past and present experiences, and future expectations. A future sometimes for ever linked to the prison walls but, thanks to the meditation, not so unbearable.

It will be incredible and totally unexpected to discover how Dario Doshin succeeded in revaluing the minds of these people and in showing them an “inner way”.

La “Via Interiore” racconta la scelta di Dario Doshin Girolami, scelta che l’ha portato ad una conoscenza approfondita “dell’uomo”, facendo nascere in lui l’esigenza d’insegnare alle persone la pratica del conoscersi interiormente per poter migliorare la propria condizione di vita.

Dario è un monaco buddista zen, insegna meditazione ed è riuscito a far breccia anche nel carcere romano di Rebibbia, dove diversi “ospiti”, anche con condanne pesanti, in un primo momento scettici, hanno apprezzato questa disciplina senza poterne più fare a meno; infatti la meditazione li guida ed aiuta ad affrontare con la giusta serenità la loro condizione costrittiva.

Il docu-film, vuol far conoscere la figura di Dario Doshin Girolami e la meditazione da lui insegnata a Rebibbia tramite le testimonianze dei fruitori della meditazione in carcere. Immagini, parole, suoni e silenzi accompagneranno il racconto di Dario, le sue domande, le risposte degli intervistati ed i loro liberi racconti di vita passata, presente e delle loro aspettative future.

Un futuro a volte legato per sempre alle mura carcerarie ma, tramite la meditazione non più così insostenibile.

Sarà incredibile e totalmente inaspettato scoprire come Dario Doshin sia riuscito a rivalutare l’animo di queste persone ed indicargli una via interiore.
