Within vast landscapes, performers engage in consensual BDSM scenarios as erotic exploration. The video combines elements of archival family footage, digital manipulation, text and voice-over narration to interrogate social and political power, the colonialism of architecture, and the possibility of erotic transcendence in the face of gendered and racialized oppressions. Oscillations between playfulness, tender embrace and controlled impact, navigate the slippage between subversion and reinscription, liberation and retention, to retrace and broaden historical narratives around race, bodies, sex and power.
