His career fielding percentage is higher than Derek Jeter's. He was considered the greatest shortstop prospect in baseball history by the Sporting News in 1967. His name was Mark Belanger, an 8-time gold glove shortstop with the Baltimore Orioles in the 1960's and '70's. Belanger was from Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and he is arguably the city's greatest athlete ever. This trailer previews a documentary on Belanger and the connection between his big league career and the small town he grew up in. The documentary is scheduled to be released in 2018, twenty years after Belanger's death.
