Stampin' Up invites the Top 100 Demonstrators in the company on a retreat the 3rd week in September, it is one of the highest honors in the company. I have been humbled to be a part of this event for the past 5 years! One of my favorite parts of the trip is a card front swap. These are the most fantastic swaps, and I can't wait to participate each year. Of course this means I have to make 100+ of 1 card, but it's soooo worth it. Click the link above to see pictures of the swap.
This card is the design I chose for this year's swap. I'm calling it "Bats in the Attic". Those of you familiar with the Aerosmith song “Toys in the Attic” can thank me later for getting this stuck in your head, but as I was making 100+ of these babies I was singing “Bats, Bats, Bats…bats in the attic.”.
I designed this to look like a haunted window in an attic, complete with wood cut window pane and Raven lace curtains. Who doesn't love glittery bats?! I loved this card so much, we did this in my stamp clubs and it was a huge hit!
