In 2013, in partnership with the Goethe Institut Lagos and the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Development Research of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (CEDR) Shrinkfish held Nigeria's first ever animation course (smedLab Animation Course 2013)
The course started with a four weeks on-location intensive training at the Goethe Institut, Lagos, followed by further months of online teaching, mentoring and assistance.
