- Is there a future for independent Film in New Zealand?
The Aro Valley Digital film movement is examined through interviews with the various filmmakers and extensive clips of their work.
Aro Valley Digital was the name given to a loose group of film-makers by film theorist Russell Campbell. All the film-makers have, even if only for a short time, lived in the Aro Valley (a suburb in Wellington, New Zealand).
The film was intended as a snapshot of the work and ideas of the filmmakers involved rather then a critical appraisal of the work itself. An introductory survey to the Aro Digital films.
All interviews were conducted in early 2005 in Wellington, New Zealand.
