Offroad racing is a heap of fun and the power of the V8 buggy driven in this clip is a fully kitted racing unit. offroadrush.com.au/ have a set-up where the regular punter can have a crack at grabbing the wheel of one of these beasts.
We hooked a session up at their Colo location and took a bunch of cams along to record the experience and give our customers an idea of how the different units perform under dust and heavy vibration conditions.
We also bumped into a mad bloke going by the name of Ian Stokes while we were there. The same as me, it was his first time on one of these power sleds and he was cool with us leaving the cam running for his laps. Cheers Ian.
As always the Motor Racing crews are pretty laid back and we had a great time. That being said, a quick stop at a nearby pub with Petra and Juha on the way home proved that beer is the best remover of dust, haha.
Juha did a mad job of mounting the cams. The view here is from the new Drift HD170 mounted to the RHS roll bar. You can see the properties of the Drift on our site at sportscamera.com.au/drift-innovation-hd170-p-390.html
If you have any questions about mounting or other details, just message us here or send an email direct. we're always keen to bring people up to speed on any aspects of our sportscameras, the biggest range in Australia.
We also ran a GoProHD, Contour 1080 and Tachyon XC Micro cams on the day, which we're editing and uploading and you'll be able to view them for comparison to see what suits your needs best.
Thanks to Chris and the crew at Offroad Rush, whose stills we've interspersed through the vid to show viewers the machine we were having a blast in.
