Moving Colors of Life is a dance narrative created and performed by artists living along the Fairmount Cultural Corridor, in the Roxbury and Dorchester neighborhoods of Boston, Massachusetts. Moving Colors of Life is staged in five movements, as a work that travels from site to site along a section of Dudley Street, conveying the centrality of “community commerce” to Dudley Street’s public life. The work interweaves African, ballet, modern and hip-hop dance styles and is accompanied by an original spoken word piece as well as an original composition of diverse musical traditions.
