Based on the work by filmmaker Xurxo Chirro, a found footage feature film of the same name “Vikingland” (2011).
This piece uses shots and sequences dismissed on the original movie, electroacustic hurdy gurdy and electronic music to transform images into an abstract dynamic show. The Intense aesthetic audiovisual scenes take the audience into a new live perception, synesthetic and rythmic, rather than a narrative experience. Fenda is the Galician name given to a wound, a cut or an indent in between spaces. A break on the icy waters of the Nordic Sea.
