Without clinical research, medication choices are limited. Testing existing medications and developing targeted therapies are both important directions in the development of medication choices. According to CenterWatch, 94% of people recognize the importance of participating in clinical research in order to assist in the advancement of medical science. Yet 75% of the general public state that they have little to no knowledge about the clinical research enterprise and the participation process.
This video is a patient educational tool created specifically for clinical trial education. The video consists of participants (one clinical researcher and three patients) who shared their experiences in clinical trials and helped dispel the myths that many prospective participants may have.
