This is what happens when I stay up too late.
Featuring vintage shots of the old Port Authority area and the helix of the Lincoln Tunnel, this tricked-out trippy transportation trance track was put together (with video) in about 6 hours on a Friday night; a muse touched me and guided the result in one enchanted swoop.
The footage is entirely from the 1945 Encyclopedia Brittanica film "The Bus Driver". The clips laid themselves in nice and neat with not too much screwing around; at one point almost 30 seconds of uncut original stock with edits, film breaks, and splices just fell into place just fine. Special thanks to the Prelinger Archive at archive.org for the awesome public domain source reel.
The music was assembled in GarageBand from a disc of more than 2000 loops by AMG; several bed tracks were modified, pitch-bent, echoed, layered, and generally messed up real nice before importing the compiled soundtrack into iMovie HD.
