Kelli O'Hara was the second star we had the good fortune of getting to interview for TIOS (Theatre in our Schools), an advocacy program which does exactly what it sounds like by its name.
I had just seen her Tony winning performance in The King And I, which is the theatre at Lincoln Center where we conducted this interview. Just like with Kevin Kline, there were parameters to working with this legend. Because of labor laws at the theatre, no using outlets, no moving chairs or tables. One camera, one tripod, battery powered lights only. Fortunately, Kelli had just come from a magazine shoot and had her HMU freshly done, but she is so beautiful that she likely would have looked that good either way.
She also took a selfie with me.
