Spanish duo Con un par de ruedas (Sergio Fernández Tolosa and Amelia Herrero Becker) cross Iceland from coast to coast by bicycle, in a self-supported adventure from Husavík to Vík.
They encounter over 700 km of deserts, lava fields, glaciers, icy rivers and volcanoes. This video shows the beautiful, magnetic landscapes of the Icelandic highlands and the island's interior territories.
It was self-filmed by Sergio and Amelia, both from Barcelona. They love traveling, cycling and hiking. Their bikes have seen the deserts of Australia, Atacama, Mohave, Namibia, Sahara, Gobi… This is the third time they have visited Iceland with their bikes and they are sure there will be more return trips.
"There is something in the light, in the weather, in the climate…that makes Iceland a new and different place every time you go. It's kind of a challenge to adapt your mind and your body to its changing and harsh conditions", Sergio says. "It is also a perfect place to check and test materials and equipment", adds Amelia.
