I'm currently working on a project that consists of drawing the song "The Art of Dying" by Gojira.
Using a Moleskine japanese-fold album, I'm drawing synesthetic interpretations of each of the song sequences.
I see each sequence as a loop. Cuts in the page folds will allow the album to be assembled in a "sculpture" representing the song's structure.
This video shows how the different sequences and which loops they correspond to. I developed the loop structure and the sequence breakdowns within the limits of the 50-page moleskine notebook. The images here represent just a prototype of the sculpture structure, without the finished drawings.
I named the sequences in a way that made sense to me, but I realize this may not be the appropriate musical terminology...
