“ Strade Meneghine”, a project where the City provides a budget to be allocated to a number of small shops in danger of failure, encouraging them to organize events and workshops for the public , which , by buying the ticket , the citiziens itself will nance the activities by giving their “money” (vote) to the prefer shop . It is a service that is based in a sense of crowfunding and mechanisms that tries to reinterpret almost in a perspective of participatory budgeting.
A crucial part of the project development was the Codesign Session with the citiziens of Borgo Sostenibile. Codesign services with the people who are potential users is a way to get in connection with their needs , assess the usability and reduce the unexpected. We tested 3 main aspect of the project: the storytelling, the bussiness opportunity and the usability. As a bridge between the retailers and the citiziens, we developed 3 design tools which allows us to create an emotional attachment and increase the citizien’s awareness.
