This is Simply Downhill's (simplydownhill.co.uk) first actual race at their new North Wales venue of Nant Gwrtheyrn (nantgwrtheyrn.org) Held on 14/15th Aug 2010.
As a new venue to UK riders we thought this video should show a bit more about the track and the fantastic facilities, In fact this really doesn't do it justice, the view just driving down to it is great then finish off your day with a stroll down to the sea for a dip, makes for a relaxed weekend of racing! (Is that possible?). There is also a great cafe and function room perfect for morning registering and evening party. If you haven't already ridden here give one of their uplift days a try.
The format for this event was to race both days with podiums for both days.
The racing was good with one of the top British riders entered, Josh Bryceland, having a wake up call thanks to Welsh Team Skene rider Emyr Davies.
And if you can't understand Emyr's introduction then you could always learn Welsh on site!
For full results have a look on rootsandrain.co.uk 's calendar for the date.
There is about an hour's worth of shots of the non- podium riders available in a rough edit on DVD if anyone would like one. It will involve making a donation to the Air Ambulance. Ask me about it at the next DH event.
Filmed using a Panasonic TM300 mounted in a home made Fig Rig. Edited using Premiere Elements (Once we'd finally upgraded the PC to manage the task! 64bit systems don't crash so often.)
