A scene from Swedish language feature "Den Osynlige", later remade "The Invisible" by Spyglass/Disney with David Goyer directing. The original was produced by Sonet Film, Sweden. I served as Director, DP and Editor together with Simon Sandquist.
We shot the actual shadow on a simple DV camera and everything else was built in 3D by the very talented Daniel Forslund (dfv.se). At the time this was a very unique way to promote a Swedish movie. We got it tagged to the first screenings of "Lord Of The Rings" (yes, it was that long ago) and people thought it was an American movie with a translated title. Guess we were a bit ahead of our time... :-)
Another interesting note is the trailer for the remake. Check out the logo at the end. They copied the EXACT same shadow. We shot our lead actor, Gustaf Skarsgård, and I'd recognize his shadow anywhere. That's him at the end of their trailer, not Justin Chatwin! Check it out here:
