Rabbi Michele Medwin does something special every year for Simchat Torah. She unrolls the entire torah so everyone in the congregation can see and touch it. She then points out different passages, reads them in Hebrew and then translates them into English. It is a very powerful sight and year after year I am still amazed when I see it. This year I used the Steadicam to capture the service. I hope you get a feeling for what it was like to celebrate Simchat Torah at Temple Sholom in Monticello, NY this year. And don't forget to keep watching after the credits!
