Actually, this year's conference is now over. Turned out to be a great mix of good, original ideas. I'll post interviews made there shortly. But the promo is still interesting, especially since the participants have an uncanny habit of predicting what's going to happen next. There was a lot to talk about - major shifts at Nokia, 3D mobile premiere, apps of course, but also how social media is integrating with mobile.
When I was at last year's event, I asked other people why they had travelled so far be there. Wow! I was taken back at the passion that came back at me.
I have rarely been to a conference where people were so positive about the whole thing (usually people escape from conference sessions to chat in the corridor - not in Oxford). If you're curious as to the magic, then take a look at what several speakers and delegates said would bring them to Oxford this coming Friday 15th October 2010.
If you'd like to get more info, this is the link cpd.conted.ox.ac.uk/electronics/courses/future_technologies10.asp . Once again, I have no commercial link with this conference - just think more of this kind of talk needs to happen in the mobile industry
