I made Sick during my junior in film school at Loyola Marymount.
This was the first film I made where I had something to say.
I was diagnosed with Leukemia during the beginning of my sophomore year in college. I took two years off and came back to school to get my degree.
The film is inspired by true events I added the part about the hooker and drugs for dramatic effect. When your in film school its almost a requirement to make a movie about drugs and violence.
We shot this film on 35 mm film short ends. Daron Keet was the cinematographer and he did an awesome job.
I edited the movie with Alexander Hendriks and the opening titles and credits were done by Ryan Ross. The sound mix and effects were done by Gabe Smith and Roberta Feigenbaum helped with the music selection and wrote some original songs.
