6.30 min. extract of 30 min. - documentary directed by Claudia Rorarius (1998)
Else Rorarius grew up with her eleven siblings on the court of the parents. After she met my grandfather at a dance, they married in 1941 and moved to Berlin. During World War II my grandfather was stationed as a soldier and became ill with typhus. He died 10 days after the birth of their common child: my father. Despite the difficult circumstances during and after the war my granny is a fun-loving woman and talks in her wonderful way of the memories of her youth. The film stands as a synonym for an everyday fate at that time.
