Mountains were just an idea while growing up in Houston, Texas but are a constant reality for me now that I live in Los Angeles. The similarities between Los Angeles and Houston are many such as having diverse cultures, urban sprawl, and concerns about the impact of natural forces on its city. Landscape is a major difference.
