It was April 25, 2015 when the earthquake devastated vast areas of Nepal. One year after disaster struck, hundreds of thousands are still homeless or living in a makeshift shelter. PFCF came to Nepal to build and provide a sheltered home for as many desperate people as possible. By the end of 2015, shelters had been built to house 18 families, in addition to uplifting many others through music and art workshops, replacing a musician's guitar that had been broken in the earthquake, and letting the people of Nepal know the world has not forgotten them.
Thanks to private donations earmarked for the Gimme Shelter Project, and to the great effort of PFCF staff, teachers and students in Nepal, we are facing these challenges together and there is hope for better days to come.
