The objective was to use video to explain and demonstrate how a hypothetical service named ‘Charged’ could provide electricity whenever, for dynamic people who can’t live without being connected. Through several iterations of video prototyping, flaws in the explanation of this rendition of ‘Charged’ quickly emerged. This was the second video in these iterations, using the drawings of the story boards to learn if these shots were enough produce the final video.
This vision of ‘Charged’ looked at the existing infrastructure of buses which circulate the same routes daily generating kinetic energy as well as being natural routes where people go. It's on an extendible panel that can be attached to the side of a bus and tap into the actuators of the bus to charge the batteries. These batteries can be accessed with the existing credit on a person’s public transit card and returned to any other bus after the use is done.
