On February 18, 2016, the Innovation Studio at Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh hosted its third Innovation Salon, "Think Big, Start Small, Move Fast" with Michael Peter Edson.
Digital and emerging media touches virtually all areas of our daily lives, and cultural institutions often struggle to keep up with the evolving landscape. Our world is getting faster, more iterative and increasingly global in nature. So how can GLAMs (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums) and other cultural heritage organizations thrive in this environment?
In this talk, we examine ways cultural institutions can think big, start small and move fast with one of the cultural sector’s most dynamic thinkers, Michael Peter Edson, Associate Director & Head of Digital for the new United Nations Live—Museum for Humanity being envisioned for Copenhagen, Denmark and locations around the world.
