My cousin Maggie asked me to film her wedding and obviously I couldn't be happier to do so for many reasons. Firstly, its my cousin ha... secondly, her husband-to-be Leon couldn't be a nicer guy and they are great together and thirdly, what a perfect way for me to practice shooting a wedding.
OH MY GOD...I thought Music Videos were sometimes tricky to make ha...to shoot a wedding as a one-man-army was extremely difficult. Since I don't really have a lot of money, or own a one plate system to quickly release my camera from a tripod to slider to glidecam, it took a while and man time is obviously not on your side at a wedding ha.
Here is my secret to any one-man-army wedding shooters out there...how did I shoot the groom getting ready and the bride in the same day at different houses?....well I didn't haha...I kindly asked if I can fake the groom getting ready the day before the wedding so on the wedding day I could just focus on the bride ha.
Despite the stress on my side of things, that I wont get into...it was prob the best wedding I've ever been to and I was so happy to be apart of it as a family member and a cinematographer. Hopefully this will land my feet in the door for many more weddings to come.
All footage was edited in Final Cut Pro, as I normally do, with color correction 3 way and Magic Bullet, with a few overlays using Artbeats.
Hope you like it and I hope you get their vibe and personality throughout the video.
