Adaptive Materiality is a research project originally developed in the context of the MSc in Adaptive Architecture & Computation of the Bartlett U.C.L and continued as an individual research project. AM provides a computational approach to the design problem of translating the digital information to physical material systems. The proposed system involves a dynamical simulation of material growth based on swarm intelligence algorithms, resulting to a bottom-up approach of stress driven distribution of material.
