These are early morning images captured over the two days from the 2010 Shire Horse Spring Show, Started photographing around 5am & you can see from the images it looks cold & it was, My hands nearly froze to the camera it was so cold.
It never fails to amaze me the passion that you will see at this show from people who are prepared to travel from all over the country to this event, They are up before the crack of dawn getting soaked with cold water & then spending hours preparing the horses for the ring.
Apart from there passion & love for there horses they all have one thing in common & that is to see these animals are kept in the public's gaze & to promote them.
The fact is that if we do not support events like this for all the Heavy Horse breeds then we shall see numbers decline to a point where nothing will be able to save them from extinction & images like in this video will become nothing more than memories.
To me the people who present these animals for viewing at shows are as bigger stars as the horses & I hope to see all of them for many more years to come.
