**DISCLAIMER** This video is really close to the final draft. It just needs some fine tuning
I originally started this as part of a 7th month present to my girlfriend who lives in Indiana. (We're in a Long Distance Relationship (CA to IN) and we've been able to meet up with each other TWICE)
Later on, in my digital movie editing class, we were assigned a project where we had to use photographs to communicate a global issue and then think of a solution.
As soon as the project was assigned, my thoughts IMMEDIATELY went to LGBT tolerance. I just didn't know how I wanted to present it. Then i saw the "IMPORTANT MESSAGE" video from Ellen on Facebook about the suicides. As I was watching it, I felt like i had more need, desire, and drive to do the project.
The first 1:30 min is a brief showing of the times me and my girlfriend (Carrie Alyse) had been together in person. The last portion are photos that I found strung together with words that I wrote and think are powerful.
I am in agreement with Ellen that "1 life lost in this tragic way is a tragedy, 4 is a crisis" and that "SOMETHING MUST BE DONE". I feel that if my video can inspire at least one person to be more tolerable or teach that LOVE IS LOVE no matter what, my video has done its job.
