Field Works is a ‘site specific project’ that is different in every city and at every location it is shown. It seeks the mystery and poetry of the (social) environment, how we absorb space and are absorbed by it and how the environment influences our behaviour and our movements. It is an intimate performance where every spectator will have a different experience. We present two versions: Field Work-office (in October) and Field Works-hotel (in February). You have to make an individual appointment beforehand.
Deepblue creates performances, dance, music, video and installations. It was founded by the choreographers Heine Røsdal Avdal and Yukiko Shinozaki and media artist Christoph De Boeck. In their work they often play with the contrasts between human and technological communication, and between natural and artificial. Whereas in earlier work deepblue examined the codes of the theatrical space, in Field Works it unravels the conventions of non-theatrical spaces in small-scale performances. At the start of 2009 they could be seen in You are here, a clever and amusing act in a sort of Kafkaesque archive. For Field Works Heine Avdal and Yukiko Shinozaki collaborate with sound artist Fabrice Moinet and comic book artist/performer Brynjar Åbel Bandlien.
