What Makes Adelaide Unique - Rundle Mall

Grant Willis (VK5GR)

RAW Footage for the "One Day On Earth" project.

Rundle Mall, Adelaide CBD Shopping Precinct

This is another of my "What Makes Adelaide Unique" series of clips shot for One Day On Earth. Rundle Mall, formed in 1976 when they closed Rundle Street to traffic is one of the most diverse and vibrant shopping precints in Adelaide, if not Australia. With over 700 stores and 300 other businesses calling the Mall home, it is a mecca for shopping crazed South Australians the year round. It is also home to many iconic South Australian images including the Rundle Mall Balls, and the Brass Pigs - a big hit with the kids. It also is formed of many 19th century buildings - including classic arcades such as the "Adelaide Arcade" and fountain.
