DIrected by Steve Lippman aka FLIP. This film, shot mostly on Super 8mm, with some 16mm, was created as a companon for Peter Gallagher's album "7 Days in Memphis" on Sony/Columbia Records. Peter being an actor and singer, and as I would remind myself, a film actor who'd worked with Altman and Soderbergh among others. was open to improvising and exploring, without any pre-conceived notions, and with no vanity. He trusted us, and let the time take us wherever it went. The result of that trust - shot over 2 days and nights in Memphis - feels intimate, immediate yet timeless. The songs heard here include those written by Isaac Hayes/David Porter; John Loudermilk; Lucinda Williams/Duane Jarvis and Leon Russell, as produced by Mike Mangini.
