It was not an easy path by any means. At 16 years old Chris's mom passed away. Chris did not know his father, so he went to live with his 18-year old sister in an apartment. The court ordered Chris to Sunrise. He was 16 years old, very behind on school with no direction. Sunrise gave Chris the much needed stability he was craving. He attended individual and group therapy. He was not only required to go to school, but he was given the tools to apply himself. Chris was paired with a mentor who met with him weekly and held him accountable. Watch Chris tell his story.
